Prison Creative Arts Project

About

Through the Prison Creative Arts Project (PCAP), students and community members facilitate theater, creative writing, and visual art workshops in seven MI prisons and Washtenaw County Jail. Additionally, PCAP houses the largest and longest running exhibition for incarcerated artists in the world each spring. Students participate in art selection, exhibition planning, and gallery installation. PCAP also publishes an annual literary review featuring work from incarcerated writers, edited by students. PCAP's student choir, Out of the Blue, tours MI prisons, performing six concerts each year.
